Senior Business Analyst

TurnPage Consulting is currently looking for a skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team of experienced consultants to work on some of our largest engagements. In this role you will be responsible for working with clients to deliver large, strategic initiatives that span multiple functions. You will engage in all levels of the project lifecycle, including requirements elicitation, process design, business-IT liaising, user acceptance testing, and deployment management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders at client organizations to extract requirements using interviews, document analysis, site visits, business process descriptions, and use case scenarios.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Business Requirements Document, Requirements Traceability Matrix, Use Cases, Process Flows, etc.
  • Work with technical team members to assist in translating business requirements into functional specifications, help to evaluate feasibility of proposed designs against business needs, and facilitate business reviews of functional designs for feedback and approval.
  • Create test scenarios for User Acceptance Testing, ensuring traceability back to functional designs and business requirements. Ensure proper planning for User Acceptance Testing activities, including in-person war-room facilitation, online participation, and offline test coordination.
  • Schedule, facilitate, and manage User Acceptance Testing activities, including logging and tracking of defects, enhancements, and change requests. Manage the defect lifecycle including bug logging, assignment and tracking, user retesting and resolution processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a Business Analyst or comparable role, with experience in large, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Strong analytical and engagement skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Ability to align to a variety of project management methodologies, including waterfall, agile, scrum, etc. Direct experience in project management a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task across projects and successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
